Lukas Trimonis

Since 2007 I have worked in audiovisual industries and build my career to become an independent film producer. Currently I am a co-owner and running manager of two production companies in Lithuania, and United Kingdom. My decision to become a producer happened over 2005 while I studied at European Film College in Denmark, where I have met Mads Egmont Christensen, a Danish producer and a great mentor. He introduced me to the world of film production and showed me that it is a much more sophisticated and interesting process, then I imagined. After graduating European Film College I completed MAIA workshops in Italy and received European certificate in Audio-visual financing and commercialization from ‘Institut National Audiovisuel’ in Paris, graduated with MA from National Film and Television School in the United Kingdom, extended my stereoscopic film making understanding in S3D Campus, and developed a feature film in MFI script 2 film. Meanwhile completing specialized courses, I have worked in the audio-visual industry since 2006 and participated in over 50 productions, my experience ranges from producing numerous commercial projects including music videos, short films, commercials, viral videos to working within feature and documentary film production, co-production, financing and distribution. First job in the industry landed me with Lithuanian director and producer Arunas Matelis, winner of Directors Guild of America award in 2006, for the best documentary film BEFORE FLYING BACK TO THE EARTH. My job was to distribute the film in Lithuania, for which I created an alternative cinema distribution campaign making third place in the list of the highest grossing documentaries in the history of Lithuania. It was in top 3 of box office for 3 consecutive weeks and screened in 19 cities. In 2011 I co-produced a documentary UB LAMA, directed by Egle Vertelyte, the film screened at 13 international festivals, official selection to 9, including DOK:Leipzig, won 5 awards to this day, distributed by Journeyman Pictures Ltd., sold to many territories worldwide. On the 15th of March of 2016 we have started principal photography on a feature film MIRACLE, written and directed by Egle Vertelyte. The film is an official European co-production between Lithuania, Bulgaria and Poland, with mix of internationally renowned cast and crew. The film is partially funded by Creative Europe, Lithuanian and Bulgarian Film Center’s, Eurimages co-production fund and other sources. Our company acts as delegate producer of this project. I really enjoy my work which allows me to exercise mix of legal, financial, psychological, managerial and creative skills and would love to continue working as a producer, creative producer or line-producer and business partner on more international projects. iN SCRiPT is a film production company engaged in developing, producing and releasing films driven by strong narrative.
